NZMA

Driving growth through a better Human Experience

NZMA is a leading education provider, with 11 campuses across New Zealand, and is part of the UP Education group, the largest private education group in Australasia. Apolinar was engaged to redevelop the NZMA website, as part of a wider brand refresh designed to help the business compete more effectively in a changing marketplace.

Apolinar's Contribution

Working closely with NZMA as a trusted digital partner, in just 12 weeks we:

  • Conducted internal stakeholder interviews to identify the key project opportunities and challenges
  • Used our 5-day Co-Design process to create a new website prototype in only four days
  • Tested the prototype with 28 students on the fifth day to validate assumptions and help refine the design
  • Set up a DesignOps pipeline, Digital Style Guide, and produced high-fidelity designs
  • Developed a new Integration Layer using Node JS to integrate with the organisation’s CRM and Student Management System
  • Developed a modern Single Page Application (SPA) using Angular Universal with SSR with the ability to be accessed on any device
  • Delivered a new flexible content authoring experience for the marketing team, using Contentful, a modern headless CMS (Content Management System)
  • Launched an Agile Release Train (ART) using Scaled Agile (SAFe 5.0) to deliver the new website through to go-live

The Results

  • The new website was A/B tested alongside the previous version of the site prior to launch
  • It was proven to deliver a significantly improved conversion rate for new prospective student enquiries
  • Internal student and staff feedback has been overwhelmingly positive
  • The new technology stack has delivered real performance improvements, lowering the cost-per-click of digital media spend through better quality scores for landing pages, allowing for a greater return on investment
  • The integration with the Student Management System has improved accuracy of course intake dates by creating a ‘single source of truth,’ while reducing the need for marketing to make manual changes to the website
  • The flexible content authoring reduces the need for marketing to engage developer resources as they evolve the site to meet new campaign requirements
